Decision problems on geometric tilings: Wang potatoes and Finite Local Complexity
We study decision problems on geometric tilings. First, we study a variant of the Domino problem where square tiles are replaced by geometric tiles of arbitrary shape.

The core mechanic present in Chiba is pushing around food items to plate tiles. Each time the player pushes a food item it incurs a cut. With enough cuts the food item will be cut into pieces, progressing to the next cut stage - with a max stage of ...

Pre‐Curved Everting Robots With Embedded Steering Intelligence Fabricated by CO2 Laser Welding
Design and experimental demonstration of a laser welded growing robot for anatomically guided navigation. The robot follows an aortic arch phantom entering the branchiocephalic branch through steering by design. The figure shows the physical phantom setup, CAD defined weld geometry and full robot eversion.

The Need for Seed (in the abstract Tile Assembly Model)
In the abstract Tile Assembly Model (aTAM) square tiles self-assemble, autonomously binding via glues on their edges, to form structures. Algorithmic aTAM systems can be designed in which the patterns of tile attachments are forced to follow the ...

Aerodynamic heating in large cavities in an array of RSI tiles
A large panel of reusable surface insulation (RSI) tiles including lost tile cavities was aerothermally tested in the Langley 8 foot high temperature structures tunnel to determine both the heat load within the cavities and the structural performance of ...

ABSTRACT Performance‐based assessments of sensory function provide essential insights into sensory integration challenges in autistic children and provide objective, standardized measurement data that can be used to tailor targeted interventions. We sought to evaluate the validity and reliability of data collected using the Evaluation in Ayres Sensory ...

ABSTRACT The transition to a circular economy (CE) remains hindered by the lack of practical strategies that simultaneously secure competitiveness and deliver sustainability outcomes for manufacturing organisations. While circular design is often cited as a cornerstone of CE, its concrete role in driving competitive advantage and organisational ...

Sensory evaluation of the sound of rolling office chairs: An exploratory study for sound design [PDF]
Only an infinitesimal part of the sounds from everyday objects that surround us has been designed specifically. This study has dealt with a sensory test for sounds produced by objects interacting with other objects, which can be performed during the ...

Translating Circularity Into Strategy: A Governance Meta‐Capability Framework
ABSTRACT Firms struggle to transition to circular economy (CE) models, often citing external barriers. Yet some firms succeed, whereas others fail: Why? We argue that success depends on a specific governance capability—a meta‐capability that allows firms to (1) sense and strategically reframe CE imperatives, (2) seize opportunities by aligning diverse ...
