Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Higher Temperatures Lead to More Melt-Freeze Crusts in Snowpacks in Cooler Regions of the Pacific Northwest

open access: yesARC Geophysical Research
Warming winters will lead to a greater fraction of rain falling in traditionally snowy areas. Here, we investigate the impact of these changes on snowpack stratigraphy, focusing specifically on the presence and duration of melt-freeze crusts.

Next-Day Bitcoin Price Forecast

open access: yesJournal of Risk and Financial Management, 2019
This study analyzes forecasts of Bitcoin price using the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) and neural network autoregression (NNAR) models. Employing the static forecast approach, we forecast next-day Bitcoin price both with and without re-

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
