Avoid Falsely Accusing Female Athletes Who Use Levonorgestrel of Doping
Levonorgestrel, a hormonal contraceptive, metabolises to 18‐methyl‐19‐noretiocholanolone which is also the main metabolite of the prohibited substance 18‐methyl‐19‐nortestosterone. Analysing for levonorgestrel and/or tetrahydronorgestrel is essential to avoid misinterpreting 18‐methyl‐19‐noretiocholanolone findings.

Post‐Mortem Identification and Toxicological Findings of Fluetonitazepyne and Isotonitazepyne
In early 2025, five death cases in Finland tested positive for fluetonitazepyne and one for isotonitazepyne in urine drug screening. A peak corresponding to O‐dealkylated fluetonitazepyne, the 4‐OH‐nitazepyne metabolite, was present in all fluetonitazepyne‐positive urine samples and was later used in the identification of isotonitazepynein one fatal ...

Detection of a Single Microdose of Testosterone and Recombinant EPO in Healthy Volunteers
Exogenous T was detected with IRMS regardless of T/E elevation—high serum T indicative for IRMS. rhEPO was detected in urine for 72 h in ITP and CP, and Tasso showed less sensitivity than previous DBS devices tested. ABSTRACT Doping with testosterone (T) and erythropoietin (EPO) in low doses (micro‐doping) is a challenge to detect.

A new machine learning model for plasma volume (PV) estimation was applied within the ABP framework. PV estimation was applied through visual displays or corrected ABP thresholds. With a favorable assessment from ABP experts, these results support further application of this model in the presence of specific confounding factors.
