Higher temperature sensitivity of forest soil methane oxidation in colder climates
Forest soils, serving as an important sink for atmospheric methane (CH4), modulate the global CH4 budget. However, the direction and magnitude of the forest soil CH4 sink under warming remain uncertain, partly because the temperature response of ...

Unexpectedly efficient ion desorption of graphene-based materials
Desorption of ions from sorbents generally involves high acid or base concentrations and long desorption times, especially for multivalent ions. Here the authors report a rapid and efficient desorption of Co2+, Mn2+, and Sr2+ adsorbed on magnetite ...

Experimental Characterization of Mycelium‐Based Composites Under Multiple Loading Conditions
This study examines the mechanical response of mycelium‐based composites under compression, shear, and tension using mechanical testing and imaging methods. The comparison between unpressed and hot‐pressed specimens shows that hot pressing is associated with higher compression and shear stiffnesses.
