ML Workflows for Screening Degradation‐Relevant Properties of Forever Chemicals
The environmental persistence of per‐ and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) necessitates efficient remediation strategies. This study presents physics‐informed machine learning workflows that accurately predict critical degradation properties, including bond dissociation energies and polarizability.

Foliar spraying of CS‐CDs can form a film on the leaves of Brassica rapa, effectively reducing the enrichment and absorption of PS in the leaves, while increasing the biomass and nutrient content of the plants. In addition, CS‐CDs can also enrich the interfoliar microbial community and activate the plant's own defense metabolic pathways.

Harvester Maintenance Prediction Tool: Machine Learning Model Based on Mechanical Features
One important element influencing the efficiency of automated timber harvesting is harvester maintenance. However, the understanding of this effect is limited, which can lead to more frequent harvest interruptions and consequently higher production costs.

Plasticity of Fine-Root Traits Under Long-Term Irrigation of a Water-Limited Scots Pine Forest
Trait-based approaches are increasingly used to investigate plant strategies for resource acquisition, growth, or competition between individual organisms or across species. However, the characterization of responses to environmental stimuli by fine-root

Divergent data-driven estimates of global soil respiration
The release of carbon dioxide from the soil to the atmosphere, known as soil respiration, is the second largest terrestrial carbon flux after photosynthesis, but the convergence of the data-driven estimates is unclear. Here we collate all historical data-

Herein, we propose a solar‐powered heavy metal trap (SPHT) for sludge disposal. The indoor experiments demonstrated that the sludge water content decreased from 90 % to 31 %, coupled with a decrease in heavy metal content to 6 % at most. Furthermore, the designed SPHT generated an initial potential of 0.10 V, and monitoring this hydrovoltaic potential ...

Does environmental data increase the accuracy of land use and land cover classification?
Optical image classification converts spectral data into thematic information from the spectral signature of each object in the image. However, spectral separability is influenced by intrinsic characteristics of the targets, as well as the ...
