Adaptive mixing formation control of multiquadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle systems
Abstract This paper presents a distributed adaptive mixing control (AMC) design for formation maintenance of systems of multiquadrotor UAVs (q‐UAVs) during commanded path‐tracking maneuvers. The proposed formation control scheme has a two‐level structure. The high level defines the desired trajectories for rigid and persistent formation acquisition and

Design of discrete PI‐PR2 controllers for time‐delayed systems using dominant pole placement method
Abstract This paper presents a new controller structure known as the proportional‐integral proportional‐double‐retarded (PI‐PR2) designed for discrete‐time systems with time delay. The dominant pole placement technique, which is frequently encountered in control systems, is used as the primary design method. The design method starts that dominant poles

Modeling and parameter estimation for fractional large‐scale interconnected Hammerstein systems
Abstract This paper addresses the challenge of modeling and identifying large‐scale interconnected systems exhibiting memory effects, hereditary properties, and non‐local interactions. We propose a fractional‐order extension of the Hammerstein architecture that incorporates Grünwald–Letnikov operators to capture complex dynamics through multiple ...

Replay to Recover: A Modern Approach to Postoperative Instructions
Abstract The success of surgical intervention extends beyond what is done in the operating room, as the patient's postoperative rehabilitation is a major component of their clinical outcome for many orthopedic surgeries. Timing the dissemination of postoperative instructions can be an important factor in how well the patient remembers and adheres to ...

Anterior Cruciate Ligament Repair: Surgical Technique Using Augmentation With Biocomposite Scaffold
Abstract Repair of the anterior cruciate ligament has recently regained interest over the past decade. Such repairs can be augmented with nonabsorbable suture for strength or biologic scaffolds to promote healing. This technique uses the BioBrace, a porous 3‐dimensional collagen scaffold made from bioresorbable bovine type I collagen that is reinforced

Student perspectives on AI‐supported formative assessment in pharmacology
Abstract Aims High‐quality feedback is crucial for helping medical students understand and apply core concepts of pharmacology, yet personalized feedback is resource‐intensive to produce. Artificial intelligence (AI) offers a potential solution, but little is known about students' perspectives on AI‐generated feedback.

Abstract Aim Tacrolimus monitoring is generally performed in whole blood (WB). Most (>85%) of circulating tacrolimus is bound to red blood cells. During pregnancy, WB monitoring might be suboptimal because of physiological changes including increased plasma volume and decreased haematocrit.
