Forma de guvernământ și puterea de revizuire constituțională (limitele revizuirii)

open access: yesRevista Transilvană de Ştiinţe Administrative, 2009
The 1991 Romanian Constitution has generated, soon after its adoption, numerous debates and has raised significant criticism. The 2003 amendment of the Constitution took place in the context of the adhesion process to the European Union and it was meant ...

PULSE FORM OF MAGNETRON ANODE CURRENT BASED DETERMINATION OF MICROWAVE POWER TRANSFERRED TO REACTOR

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений России: Радиоэлектроника, 2018
An important task in designing  microwave industrial plants  is to determine actual power  going into a process  reactor.  A part  of magnetron power  reflects  from  the  microwave reactor  into  generator due  to  the  processed  material property ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Mechanisms and regulatory pathways of recessive land use transition [PDF]

open access: yesZiyuan Kexue
[Objective] The study of recessive land use forms is a crucial aspect of land use research. Clarifying the scientific connotation and intrinsic mechanisms of recessive land use transition and exploring regulatory pathways to address urban-rural economic ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Sexual abuse of children as a form of power abuse and abuse of the body

open access: yesActa Theologica, 2015
This article investigates the relationship between sexual abuse, power and the body from a Catholic theological viewpoint. The article starts with the relationship between sexual abuse and power.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Application of Power Geometry and Normal Form Methods to the Study of Nonlinear ODEs

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
This paper describes power transformations of degenerate autonomous polynomial systems of ordinary differential equations which reduce such systems to a non-degenerative form.

Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the
