Graph Interpolation Grammars as Context-Free Automata [PDF]
A derivation step in a Graph Interpolation Grammar has the effect of scanning an input token. This feature, which aims at emulating the incrementality of the natural parser, restricts the formal power of GIGs.

ABSTRACT Background Survivors of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) often exhibit early deficits in muscle and movement competence, which can compromise long‐term health. Integrative neuromuscular training (INT), a multifaceted approach combining fundamental movement activities with strength exercises, may help address these deficits during ...

Dowód matematyczny – argumentacja czy derywacja? – część II
In the first part of the paper, Azzouni’s derivation–indicator view was presented. In the second part it is analyzed in a detailed way. It is shown, that many problems arise, which cannot be explained in a satisfactory way in Azzouni’s theory, in ...

Limiting the Number of Possible CFG Derivative Trees During Grammar Induction with Catalan Numbers
Grammar induction runs into a serious problem due to the exponential growth of the number of possible derivation trees as sentence length increases, which makes unsupervised parsing both computationally demanding and highly indeterminate.

On noncausal/causal alternations in Tima (Nuba Mountains, Sudan)
Tima, a language spoken in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan, uses three derivation markers (with various allomorphs) to either increase or decrease the valency of the verb. Middle voice and antipassive marking are used to reduce the valency. Causative marking

Formality of derived intersections
We study derived intersections of smooth analytic cycles, and provide in some cases necessary and sufficient conditions for this intersection be formal. In particular, if X is a complex submanifold of a complex manifold

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Mean-field expansion in Bose-Einstein condensates with finite-range interactions
We present a formal derivation of the mean-field expansion for dilute Bose-Einstein condensates with two-particle interaction potentials which are weak and finite-range, but otherwise arbitrary.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Dowód matematyczny – argumentacja czy derywacja? – część I
The article is devoted to the problem of status of mathematical proofs, in particular it tries to capture the relationship between the real, „semantic” notion of mathematical proof, and its formal (algorithmic) counterpart.
