Topological Derivative-Based Topology Optimization of Linearized Viscous Shallow Water Equation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences
In this paper, we focus on the derivation of the topological derivative of shallow water equations. We consider two-dimensional viscous shallow-water equations linearized around a constant velocity.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Die Zukunft der Derivation oder: Derivation 2.0

open access: yesLinguistik Online, 2016
Traditionally, contemporary German is considered to be rich in affixes which is displayed by a wide range of e. g. nominal suffixes (such as -ung, -heit, -nis, -tum, -sal).

On some innovations in teaching the formal semantics using software tools

open access: yesOpen Computer Science, 2020
In this work we discuss the motivation for innovations and need of a teaching tool for the visualization of the natural semantics method of imperative programming languages. We present the rôle of the teaching software, its design, development and use in

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

About the Performance of SQLf Evaluation Mechanisms

open access: yesCLEI Electronic Journal, 2006
In order to make more flexible database access the query language SQLf has been previously proposed. One of the SQLf features is the use of Fuzzy Quantifiers in Having Clause.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Circuit architecture derivation starting from a formal requirements specification considering a DDS as example [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Radio Science, 2004
Based on a formal specification of a direct digital synthesis (DDS) and assuming the availability of a set of possible circuit architectures we derive a customised system configuration.

On the turbulent energy cascade in anisotropic magnetohydrodynamic turbulence

open access: yes, 2009
The problem of the occurrence of an energy cascade for Alfv\'enic turbulence in solar wind plasmas was hystorically addressed by using phenomenological arguments based to the weakness of nonlinear interactions and the anisotropy of the cascade in wave ...

Derivational Morphology of Italian: Principles for Formalization [PDF]

open access: yesLiterary and Linguistic Computing, 2006
The present paper investigates the major derivational strategies underlying the formation of suffixed words in Italian, with the purpose of tackling the issue of their formalization. After having specified the theoretical cognitive premises that orient the work, the interacting component modules of the suffixation process, i.e.
