The effects of solid‐state electrolyte architecture and electrolyte/electrode interfacial polarization resistance on Critical Current Density and the risks for “interfacial” and “internal” Li‐metal dendrite formation were investigated in simulations of FIB‐reconstructed porous‐dense Li7La3Zr2O12 (LLZO) “bilayers”, providing insight for full cells ...

Book Review: Great help for novice GT researchers
The authors’ main purpose of the book is to provide practical guidance for novice researchers using classic grounded theory (GT) while remaining as true as possible to Glaser’s and Strauss’ thoughts.

ABSTRACT Neat films of organic dyes are an interesting technological platform for solar cells and photodetectors. Recently, the conventional biphasic bulk‐heterojunction paradigm for photoinduced charge separation was challenged by the observation that charge carriers can be photogenerated in single‐component materials. A comprehensive experimental and

Amphoteric Cu‐Doping Leading to High Thermoelectric Performance in p‐Type Bismuth Antimony Telluride
This study shows that Cu plays two opposite roles in p‐type Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 depending on the processing route. Under thermodynamic‐equilibrium bulk‐synthesis, Cu mainly occupies cation sites, increases hole concentration, preserves mobility, and slightly reduces lattice heat transport. The best‐performing composition among the investigated series reaches

Theory of Ground- and Excited-State Properties of Solids, Surfaces, and Interfaces: Beyond Density Functional Formalism [PDF]
A number of methods, going beyond pair-potentials, now exist for calculation of the structural and electronic properties of materials. These range from the use of classical many-body atomic potentials to the semiempirical quantum approaches to parameter-free ab initio methods.1 Among the first-principles methods, basically one of the following two ...

Nitride MXenes remain constrained by a persistent gap between computational prediction and experimental realization. This Review identifies the thermodynamic, kinetic, and chemical barriers limiting their synthesis, critically evaluates emerging fabrication routes, and proposes a multidimensional computational‐experimental framework to accelerate the ...

Defect‐free transfer principles enable scalable fabrication of 15 µm‐thin garnet‐based hybrid solid electrolytes. Hansen solubility parameters correlate interfacial compatibility with coating, transfer, and impregnation behavior, guiding rational selection of slurry/substrate, binder/substrate, and binder/polymer electrolyte combinations.

The Practical Use of Awareness Theory
In this chapter we shall discuss how our substantive sociological theory has been developed in order to facilitate applying it in daily situations of terminal care by sociologists, by doctors and nurses, and by family members and dying patients.
