Modulating Electrochemical CO2 Reduction Pathways via Interfacial Electric Field
Engineering interfacial electric fields in Cu/ITO electrodes enables precise control of CO2 reduction pathways. Charge transfer from Cu to ITO generates positively charged Cu species that steer selectivity from ethylene toward methane. This work demonstrates how interfacial electric‐field modulation can direct reaction intermediates and transform ...

Reduction of the formaldehyde content in leathers treated with formaldehyde resins by means of plant polyphenols [PDF]
Formaldehyde has applications in many industrial processes, including synthesis of resins and syntans to be used in the retanning process of leather. When resins are employed, they can hydrolyse, releasing formaldehyde.

This study demonstrates that pulsed potential electrolysis significantly improves CO2 reduction performance on copper‐nitrogen doped carbon electrodes. The formation of cationic copper sites and metallic clusters as a function of applied intermittent potential leads to notable selectivity changes compared to potentiostatic reduction.

Satellite measurements of formaldehyde from shipping emissions [PDF]
Abstract. International shipping is recognized as a pollution source of growing importance, in particular in the remote marine boundary layer. Nitrogen dioxide originating from ship emissions has previously been detected in satellite measurements. This study presents the first satellite measurements of formaldehyde (HCHO) linked to shipping emissions ...

Defects Dynamic in Photo‐Excited CeO2 and their Influence on CO2 Photoreduction
X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy study under light excitation is presented to track the defect dynamic (Ce4+ to Ce3+) in CeO2. Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy confirmed the key role of Ce3+ states in controlling charge and energy transfer across the CeO2‐dye molecule interface.

Characterization and Application of Urea-Formaldehyde-Furfural Co-condensed Resins as Wood Adhesives
Furfural, as an organic compound derived from biomass materials, was used to partially substitute for formaldehyde in the synthesis of UF resin. Urea-formaldehyde-furfural co-condensed (UFFR) resins with different substitute ratios of furfural to ...

Measuring Method of Formaldehyde Emission for Plywood
