Disney-Formalism: Rethinking ‘Classic Disney’

open access: yes, 2010
With the release of The Princess and the Frog (Ron Clements and John Musker, 2009) the phrase ‘Classic Disney’ has re-entered popular discussion. Unfortunately, the concept of ‘Classic Disney’ has evolved in recent years, developing from a seemingly ...

Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

The formalization of Interpretability [PDF]

open access: yesStudia Logica, 1991
The author discusses interpretability in weak theories without \(\Sigma_ 1\)-collection principle for details and gives a careful derivation of principles of Interpretability Logic valid in any extension of I\(\Delta_ 0+\Omega_ 1\). The case containing the \(\Sigma_ 1\)- collection principle is also discussed in relation with cut and with the ...

A Lightweight Procedural Layer for Hybrid Experimental–Computational Workflows in Materials Science

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We unveil a prototype hybrid‐workflow framework that fuses automatedcomputation with hands‐on experiments. Built atop pyiron, a lightweight, parameterized layer translates procedure descriptions into executable manual steps, syncing instrument settings, human interventions, and data capture in real‐time today.

Unified Hamiltonian Formalism of JahnTeller and Pseudo-JahnTeller Problems in Axial Symmetries

open access: yes, 2021
A formalism for expansions of all Jahn-Teller and pseudo-Jahn-Teller Hamiltonian operators in all axial symmetries is presented. The formalism provides Hamiltonian expansions up to arbitrarily high order and including an arbitrary number of vibra?tional ...

Recycling of NiTi Shape Memory Alloys: Fundamental and Technological Aspects of a Vacuum Induction Melting Processing Route

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The present study investigates recycling of NiTi shape memory alloys via vacuum induction melting. An ingot was synthesized from elemental Ni and Ti and subjected to three subsequent remelting cycles. Remelting increases process durations and impurity levels and adversely affects microstructures and functional properties.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

The Formalistic Reading of Nasta'līq and Tash'ir Elements in Book Illustration of Timurid to Qajar Periods [PDF]

open access: yesنگره, 2018
Nasta'līq and Tash'ir are two companion elements in Iranian book illustration. The two art forms have been shaped almost at the same historic era. Therefore, they have been frequently used together. Accordingly, addressing this issue in the present study

A formalism for the systematic treatment of rapidity logarithms in Quantum Field Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A bstractMany observables in QCD rely upon the resummation of perturbation theory to retain predictive power. Resummation follows after one factorizes the cross section into the relevant modes.
