TacVerse: A Multisensor Dataset and Benchmark for Cross‐Sensor Vision‐Based Tactile Perception

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
TacVerse provides a controlled benchmark of 106 800 tactile images from seven vision‐based tactile sensors across shape classification, grating classification, and force regression. Direct cross‐sensor transfer reveals substantial sensor‐shift degradation, with grating and force perception more affected than shape recognition.

HCTR2-FP and HCTR3-FP: Format-Preserving Encryption from Wide-Block Ciphers [PDF]

open access: yes
Format-preserving encryption (FPE) enables encryption while maintaining syntactic properties such as character sets. The current NIST standard FF1 uses multi-round Feistel networks that sacrifice performance for flexibility, while FF3-1 was withdrawn in ...

Modulation of miR‐23b Wnt/β‐catenin Axis Strengthens Endothelial Barrier Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Early blood‐brain barrier (BBB) disruption contributes to stroke and CNS disease pathology. miR‐23b was identified as a regulator of BBB integrity in brain endothelial cells. Inhibition of miR‐23b enhanced barrier‐associated properties, promoted repair‐related signaling, and reduced BBB leakage in experimental stroke models, supporting further ...

Message-recovery attacks on Feistel-based Format Preserving Encryption [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We give attacks on Feistel-based format-preserving encryption (FPE) schemes that succeed in message recovery (not merely distinguishing scheme outputs from random) when the message space is small.

Synthetic Toll‐Like Receptors for Control of Innate Immunity With Far‐Red Light

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Synthetic Toll‐like receptors (TLRs) are engineered by replacing their natural sensing regions with a far‐red‐light‐responsive module from a bacterial phytochrome. These synthetic receptors enable light‐controlled regulation of immune signaling in mammalian cells.

Thymosin Alpha‐1 Provides Direct Neuroprotection by Engaging the Orexin Receptor HCRTR1 to Suppress Neuronal Necroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we unveil a thymus‐brain endocrine axis wherein Tα1 engages HCRTR1 to inhibit RIPK3‐mediated necroptosis. This study nominates the Tal‐HCRTR1‐RIPK3 axis as a potent and clinically translatable therapeutic target for stroke and neurodegeneration.

Unifying Composition and Process Design: A Heterogeneous Graph Neural Network for Discovering High‐Performance Cu Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By overcoming the fixed‐path limitations of conventional machine learning, a heterogeneous graph neural network fundamentally reconstructs material data representation. Integrating variable processing sequences with intrinsic elemental features, this framework enables exploratory optimization across high‐dimensional spaces.
