A sulfur‐doped Ni–Co heterostructured catalyst is rationally designed to regulate interfacial electronic and adsorption properties for selective glycerol electrooxidation. The synergistic Ni–Co active sites promote hydroxide activation and glycerol adsorption, enabling efficient formic acid production and durable hydrogen generation under continuous ...

Microbial Resource Management for Ex Situ Biomethanation of Hydrogen at Alkaline pH
Biomethanation is a promising solution to convert H2 (produced from surplus electricity) and CO2 to CH4 by using hydrogenotrophic methanogens. In ex situ biomethanation with mixed cultures, homoacetogens and methanogens compete for H2/CO2.

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Ordered B-Site Vacancies in an ABX3 Formate Perovskite
We report the synthesis and structural characterisation of a series of aliovalently doped metal–formate ABX3 perovskite frameworks [C(NH2)3]Mn2+1–x(Fe3+2x/3,Vx/3)(HCOO)3 (V = B-site vacancy).

A Perspective on the Applications of Triphasic Gas Storage in Electrochemical Systems
Gas storage in microporous materials positioned locally at an electrode or electrocatalyst surface enhances electrochemical processes. Abstract Microporous materials store gases under dry conditions (e.g., hydrogen or oxygen via physisorption), but in some cases microporous materials also show triphasic (e.g., in a solid|gas|liquid system) gas storage ...
