Mitochondrial Carrier SLC25A13 Drives Ferroptosis Resistance and Immune Evasion via a STAT3–IFI6 Circuit in Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SLC25A13 is identified as an immunometabolic driver of triple‐negative breast cancer that sustains ferroptosis resistance and immune evasion through a STAT3–IFI6 circuit. Pharmacologic degradation of SLC25A13 restores ferroptosis sensitivity and enhances anti‐PD‐1 efficacy, highlighting a strategy to convert immune‐cold tumors into immunotherapy ...

HYDRAZONES AND FORMAZANS - INVESTIGATION AND TECHNOLOGY

open access: yesBulletin of the National Technical University "KhPI". Series: Chemistry, Chemical Technology and Ecology, 2019
Viral infections are a constant human health problem. The growing danger of viral infections necessitates the search for new antiviral drugs that are not toxic to humans. Creating safe and effective antiviral drugs is difficult because viruses use host cells for replication.

Membrane Fusion‐Mediated Cytosolic Delivery of Threose Nucleic Acids via Homotypic Nanoparticles Overcomes Drug Resistance in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces a biomimetic “nanofusion” platform that integrates the biostability of threose nucleic acids (TNA) with homotypic cell‐membrane cloaking to combat drug‐resistant TNBC. By leveraging a non‐canonical membrane‐fusion pathway for direct cytosolic delivery, the platform bypasses endosomal sequestration. To achieve potent AKT2 silencing

The MTT-formazan assay: Complementary technical approaches and in vivo validation in Drosophila larvae [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The MTT assay was the first widely accepted method to assess cytotoxicity and cell viability. However, there is controversy on whether this indicator is a useful tool.

A Pathology‐Instructed Theranostic Platform with Mechanoadaptive and ROS‐Powered Nanobreathing Functions for Precision Myocardial Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed a pH responsive theranostic serum albumin hydrogel named BST, functionalized with MRI and CT probes and loaded with mitochondria targeted CAT‐SOD nanogels, that rapidly self repairs and mechanically stabilizes the infarcted myocardium, releases therapeutic nanogels and albumin under hypoxia induced acidosis to clear mitochondrial ROS ...

X-ray diffraction investigation of 1-phenyl-3-isopropyl-5-(benzothiazol-2- yl)formazan [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The crystal structure of 1-phenyl-3-isopropyl-5-(benzothiazol-2-yl)formazan is investigated using X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in the form of two crystallographically independent molecules (A and B) in identical conformations that are ...

A Hydrogen Sulfide–Releasing Dynamic Hydrogel Modulates Coordinated Neurovascular, Immune, and Angiogenic Responses for Scar‐Suppressed Diabetic Wound Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ROS‐Responsive H2S Hydrogel (HAPPF) Coordinated Regeneration for High‐Quality Diabetic Wound Repair.A self‐regulating dynamic hydrogel is developed to deliver a fluorogenic H2S donor in response to excessive ROS. Released H2S acts as a master regulator to resolve chronic inflammation (M2 polarization), restore VEGF‐driven angiogenesis, and rebalance ...

PRMT5‐Dependent Stabilization of VPS34 Orchestrates Copper Trafficking to Shield Cancer Cells from Cuproptosis and Radiotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Radioresistance arises partly from tumor cells evading cuproptosis via unknown defenses. This study reveals that the PRMT5‐VPS34 axis acts as a radiation‐activated anticuproptotic mechanism: PRMT5 methylates VPS34 at Arg174, recruiting USP10 to remove K48‐linked ubiquitination and prevent degradation.
