Trimetallic Synergy in Intermetallic PtSnBi Nanoplates Boosts Formic Acid Oxidation

Advances in Materials, 2019
Platinum is the most effective metal for a wide range of catalysis reactions, but it fails in the formic acid electrooxidation test and suffers from severe carbon monoxide poisoning.

A Simple and Effective Principle for a Rational Design of Heterogeneous Catalysts for Dehydrogenation of Formic Acid

Advances in Materials, 2019
Efficient and selective dehydrogenation of formic acid is a key challenge for a fuel‐cell‐based hydrogen economy. Though the development of heterogeneous catalysts has received much progress, their catalytic activity remains insufficient.

Gelatinization with formic acid

Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Comparative Biochemistry, 1979
1. A study has been made of the gelatins obtained by treating a number of fresh and fossil collagens with dilute formic acid. 2. Compositions of their peptides separated by filtration through polyacrylamide gels has been established. 3. Solubilization results in the freeing of much aspartic acid and less glycine, the amounts being determined for the ...

Dissociation constants of formic acid and formic acid-d

Transactions of the Faraday Society, 1963
It is shown by conductivity measurements that DCO/sub 2/H has a smaller dissociation constant than HCO/sub 2/H in aqueous solution. The observed difference, e (1000 to 2000 pK = 0.035 surface proces 0.002, agrees with a theoretical calculation of the secondary isotope effect. (auth)
