Hemispheric processing of global form, local form, and texture
Hemispheric processing of global form, local form, and texture of hierarchical patterns composed of many, relatively small elements and patterns composed of few, relatively large elements was examined in two experiments, employing a Stroop-type paradigm.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Predicting Plastic Deformation and Work Hardening during V-Band Formation [PDF]
V-Band Clamps are manufactured using a cold roll forming process consisting of six passes which plastically deform an initially flat strip by bending to produce the band’s V-section.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Numerical Identification of Optimum Process Parameters for Combined Deep Drawing and Electromagnetic Forming [PDF]
In this paper, a method is presented for the virtual process design of combinations of deep drawing and electromagnetic forming. With suitably chosen parameters, such process combinations of a quasi-static and an impulse forming process extend forming ...

Effects of Forming Process on Composite mode I Interlaminar Fracture Toughness
In order to compare and analyse the effect of two different kinds of forming process on composite mode I interlaminar fracture toughness, the DCB specimens were tested by using hypothesis inspeetion method.A finite element model was also used to simulate
