Effects of Biological Sex and Age on Cerebrospinal Fluid Markers—A Retrospective Observational Study
ABSTRACT Objective Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis is a key diagnostic tool for neurological diseases. To date, only a few studies have investigated in larger cohorts the effect of age and biological sex on diagnostic markers extracted from CSF. Methods For this retrospective observational study, 4163 CSF findings (2012–2020) were evaluated.

Analysis of Effective Plasma Frequency in a Magnetized Extrinsic Photonic Crystal
The effective plasma frequency (EPF) in an extrinsic photonic crystal is theoretically analyzed. The extrinsic PC is a single homogeneous doped semiconductor ( n-GaAs) that is influenced by an externally and periodically applied magnetic field.

Clustering Algorithm Reveals Dopamine‐Motor Mismatch in Cognitively Preserved Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the relationship between dopaminergic denervation and motor impairment in two de novo Parkinson's disease (PD) cohorts. Methods n = 249 PD patients from Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and n = 84 from an external clinical cohort.

This article examines the formula G (of Goedel). We demonstrated that the Goedel's number of the formula G is not a finite number if (i) G is comprehended as a self-referential statement or (ii) there is an infinite set S of well-formed formulae such ...

CSF Monoamine Metabolites and Cognitive Trajectory in Early Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Background Imaging and postmortem studies indicate that abnormalities in monoaminergic neurotransmission contribute to cognitive impairment in Parkinson's disease (PD). However, it remains uncertain if cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) monoamine metabolites can serve as biomarkers of cognitive decline in early PD.

Objective Ultrasound (US) has been proposed as a potential tool for assessing skin fibrosis in systemic sclerosis (SSc). However, a large‐scale comparison of US‐based assessment with histologic markers of skin fibrosis has not been reported. We evaluated US‐based skin assessments for their face validity (differentiation between involved SSc and healthy

Objective Mycophenolate Mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon due to the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of the vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.
