Empirical Methods in the Analysis of Collusion [PDF]

open access: yes
Regression methods are commonly used in competition lawsuits for, e.g., determining overcharges in pricefixing cases. Technical evaluations of these methods' pros and cons are not necessarily intuitive.

High‐Speed Altitude Regulation With Neuromorphic Camera and Lightweight Embedded Computation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Neuromorphic cameras deliver rapid, high‐dynamic‐range sensing but overwhelm embedded processors at high speeds. This work presents a lightweight, optimized Lucas–Kanade optical flow method with parallelization, gyroscopic derotation, and adaptive event slicing.

Using Accounting Data in Cartel Damage Calculations – Blessing or Menace? [PDF]

open access: yes
Standard methods for calculating cartel-damages rely on data of prices charged and quantity sold. Such data may not easily be available. In this paper, it is shown that a lower bound for cartel-damages can also be computed from accounting data.

Compact Modeling of Volatile‐Switching Electrochemical Metallization Memory Cells by Means of the Electromotive Force

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A volatile‐switching compact model of electrochemical metallization memory cells for neuromorphic architecture is developed and validated by reliable reproduction of device characterization measurements: I−V sweeps, SET kinetics, relaxation dynamics.

Do we (still) need to regulate fixed network retail markets? [PDF]

open access: yes
In the beginning of fixed network liberalisation in Europe in the late 1990s, the main concern of regulators was to lower calls prices. This was done by introducing wholesale regulation and promoting service based competition.

A Flexible and Energy‐Efficient Compute‐in‐Memory Accelerator for Kolmogorov–Arnold Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This article presents KA‐CIM, a compute‐in‐memory accelerator for Kolmogorov–Arnold Networks (KANs). It enables flexible and efficient computation of arbitrary nonlinear functions through cross‐layer co‐optimization from algorithm to device. KA‐CIM surpasses CPU, ASIC, VMM‐CIM, and prior KAN accelerators by 1–3 orders of magnitude in energy‐delay ...
