Multi-objective optimisation of sewer maintenance scheduling
Effective functioning of sewer systems is critical for the everyday life of people in the urban environment. This is achieved, among other things, by the means of regular, planned maintenance of these systems.

Unrolling loops in fortran [PDF]
AbstractThe technique of ‘unrolling’ to improve the performance of short program loops without resorting to assembly language coding is discussed. A comparison of the benefits of loop ‘unrolling’ on a variety of computers using an assortment of FORTRAN compilers is presented.

OpenMP GNU and Intel Fortran programs for solving the time-dependent Gross-Pitaevskii equation [PDF]
We present Open Multi-Processing (OpenMP) version of Fortran 90 programs for solving the Gross-Pitaevskii (GP) equation for a Bose-Einstein condensate in one, two, and three spatial dimensions, optimized for use with GNU and Intel compilers.

The Resource constrained shortest path problem implemented in a lazy functional language [PDF]
The resource constrained shortest path problem is an NP-hard problem for which many ingenious algorithms have been developed. These algorithms are usually implemented in FORTRAN or another imperative programming language.

IRPF90: a programming environment for high performance computing [PDF]
IRPF90 is a Fortran programming environment which helps the development of large Fortran codes. In Fortran programs, the programmer has to focus on the order of the instructions: before using a variable, the programmer has to be sure that it has already ...

This work applies multi‐objective optimization to investigate trade‐offs between different objectives in syngas production with solid‐oxide cell co‐electrolysis. Two system designs are investigated. By systematically exploring tradeoffs between different objectives, insights, and comparisons of the operation of these designs are achieved.

NCIO 1.0: a simple Fortran NetCDF interface [PDF]
The NetCDF (Network Common Data Form) library has become an indispensable tool for data and model output management in geoscience. However for simple tasks, particularly in Fortran, the complexity of native NetCDF functionality can be cumbersome.

Program analysis for documentation [PDF]
A program analysis for documentation (PAD) written in FORTRAN has three steps: listing the variables, describing the structure and writing the program specifications.
