All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Assessing the Fidelity of Steady-State MRF Modeling for UAV Propeller Performance in Non-Axial Inflow

open access: yesAerospace
The aerodynamic behavior of small-scale UAV propellers operating under non-axial inflow conditions poses a significant prediction challenge due to the presence of strong azimuthal asymmetries, inherently unsteady flow phenomena, and Reynolds number ...

Modeling, Trim Analysis, and Trajectory Control of a Micro-Quadrotor with Wings

open access: yesDrones, 2018
This paper presents the modeling, control design, and efficiency analysis of a micro-quadrotor aerial vehicle with airfoils. We derive the equations of motion for a micro-quadrotor (length 0.15 m and mass 0.03 kg) outfitted with two symmetric airfoils ...

Biodegradable and Recyclable Luminescent Mixed‐Matrix‐Membranes, Hydrogels, and Cryogels based on Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks and Biopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

Flight Dynamics Modeling and Dynamic Stability Analysis of Tilt-Rotor Aircraft

open access: yesInternational Journal of Aerospace Engineering, 2019
The tilt-rotor aircraft has often been proposed as a means to increase the maximum speed of the conventional helicopter. The tilt-rotor aircraft consists of three primary flight modes that are the helicopter flight mode in low forward speed flight ...

Structure Formation in Butterfly Scales: Interplay of Genetic Control, Mechanical Instabilities, and Dynamic Material Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Butterfly wing scales are intricate cuticular functional nanosctructures. This perspective suggests that spatially varying material properties, cytoskeletal constraints, and growth‐driven mechanical instabilities shape the resulting nanoscale architectures created from single cells.
