Soft Skins With Reversible Thickness Morphing: Materials, Mechanisms, and Applications
Evolution of electronic skin (e‐skin) technologies toward adaptive, multifunctional soft skins. Phase I highlights early rigid and discrete sensory interfaces. Phase II shows the transition toward flexible, stretchable, and large‐area e‐skin. Phase III captures the emergence of computational e‐skin.

The use of forward osmosis (FO) for water purification purposes has gained extensive attention in recent years. In this review, we first discuss the advantages, challenges and various applications of FO, as well as the challenges in selecting the proper draw solution for FO, after which we focus on transport limitations in FO processes.

Pilot scale study of chlorination-induced transport property changes of a seawater reverse osmosis membrane [PDF]
A pilot-scale study was performed to assess variations of reverse osmosis (RO) membrane water permeance (A) and salt retention (Robs) induced by chlorination and to compare them with those observed at the lab-scale. A chlorination protocol was adapted to

Reversible light‐induced gradients at solid–liquid interfaces enable controllable interfacial transport via light‐driven diffusioosmosis. We demonstrate directed particle manipulation based on dynamically generated concentration gradients. The mechanism is broadly applicable to cationic, anionic, and non‐ionic surfactants with varying hydrophobicity ...
