Experimental estimation of copper‐site geometry reproducibility in biologically relevant redox and saccharide‐bound states of a model lytic polysaccharide monooxygenase

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section D, Volume 82, Issue 8, Page 886-899, August 2026.
Small but measurable changes in the coordination geometry of a lytic polysaccharide monooxygenase copper active site are revealed by X‐ray crystallography, providing structural insight into their catalytic flexibility.Lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs) are copper‐dependent enzymes classified into the auxiliary activity (AA) families of the ...

Enhancing Probiotic Performance in Food Matrices: From Strain Selection to Bioengineering

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Probiotics are central to functional food innovation, but their application is limited by viability loss during processing, storage, and gastrointestinal (GI) transit. A key insight is that viability and functionality are distinct attributes; maintaining high cell counts does not guarantee that probiotics retain their beneficial properties ...

Advances in Xylooligosaccharides Production From Lignocellulosic Materials and Its Application as Prebiotics

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT With the growing interest in functional foods and their role in promoting health beyond basic nutrition, increasing attention has been directed toward the modulation of gut microbiota as a key determinant of human well‐being. In this context, prebiotics and probiotics have emerged as central bioactive ingredients due to their capacity to ...

Value and moral divergences between management researchers and managers: Evidence and a future research agenda

open access: yesApplied Psychology, Volume 75, Issue 4, August 2026.
Abstract We know little about the values and morals that management researchers hold and whether they align with a key set of stakeholders they intend to inform—managers in industry. This alignment matters because values and morals serve as guiding principles and are important drivers of attitudes and behavior, and differences in values and morals can ...

A cDC1‐NK/T‐Malignant Cell Circuit Drives Immunogenic Remodeling Under PD‐1 Blockade in Gastric Cancer

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 117, Issue 8, Page 2098-2114, August 2026.
Chemotherapy combined with nivolumab reshapes the gastric cancer tumor microenvironment (TME) and is accompanied by an enrichment of reduced cytotoxicity NK (RC‐NK) cells. Rather than acting as classical cytotoxic effectors, these RC‐NK cells appear to shape the TME by promoting an immunostimulatory circuit that engages adaptive immunity.
