Hunting motivations, behaviour and forest access: Characterising wildlife hunting practices in a multi‐ethnic, forested landscape of Brunei Darussalam, Southeast Asia

open access: yesPeople and Nature, EarlyView.
Abstract Unsustainable hunting practices can alter population dynamics, driving biodiversity declines, which leads to ‘empty forests’. Understanding hunting behaviour, including motivations for hunting and relationships with market drivers, and access to hunting grounds are important to develop affirmative policies to stem biodiversity loss.

Impact of Sonication Treatment on Physicochemical Properties of Carbon Blacks and Pt/C Catalysts in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells

open access: yesParticle &Particle Systems Characterization, EarlyView.
Here it is revealed how ultrasonic dispersion chemically and structurally alters Pt/C catalysts depending on carbon black type. While high surface area carbons remain stable, low and medium surface area carbons undergo oxidation, increasing charge‐transfer resistance and degrading fuel cell performance.

The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 1697-1716, April 2025.
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

Nonfragile Sliding Mode Control of Fractional‐Order Complex Networked Systems via Combination Event‐Triggered Approach

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This work addresses the problem of developing a nonfragile sliding mode observer for fractional‐order complex networked systems (FO‐CNS) under stochastic network attacks. The proposed approach employs a combination of event‐triggered techniques. First, a nonfragile fractional‐order state observer is developed, enabling the design of a suitable

Open Framework Structure of the New Pure‐Germania Zeolite ITQ‐35 Solved by 3D Electron Diffraction

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
The synthesis and characterization of the pure germania zeolite ITQ‐35 are described. Its complete structure determination, including the organic structure directing agent, is performed using 3D electron diffraction, theoretical calculations, and powder X‐ray diffraction data.
