[Fosfomycin, lysine-fosfomycin, arginine-fosfomycin: antibacterial activity in vitro].
Giornale di batteriologia, virologia ed immunologia, 1982The antibacterial activity of NaFosfomicin and of two of its aminoacidic derivatives -Lisin-Fosfomycin and Arginin-Fosfomycin- has been determined "in vitro" as MICs and MBCs, on different groups of Bacteria. The results obtained were then statistically analyzed - according to the "t of Student" - in a comparative evaluation of the values between ...

Fosfomycin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic, was originally developed more than 45 years ago. Because it has both in vitro and in vivo activities against a wide range of multidrug-resistant as well as extensively drug-resistant bacteria, fosfomycin is potentially a good candidate for treating infections with these bacteria.
