Rapid and Reusable Amino Acid–Derived MOFs for the Removal of Estrogenic Hormones From Real Water Matrices

A family of amino‐acid–derived MOFs enables ultrafast (>90–95% in 30 s) simultaneous removal of four estrogenic contaminants from water under SPE conditions. A leucine‐based MOF shows excellent regenerability and robustness in real samples, with structural evidence revealing efficient hormone encapsulation.

Application of Ultrasonic Sensors for Determining the Height of Dynamic Two‐Phase Layers in Tray Columns

Ultrasonic sensors are evaluated for their applicability in dynamic gas–liquid systems. By comparing sensor data with two independent optical reference methods, their robustness and reliability are demonstrated under varying flow conditions and tray geometries in column systems.

Catalytic Oxidation of CO and VOC in Flue Gas of Coffee Roasting Machines

Platinum‐coated cordierite monoliths effectively oxidized CO and VOC in coffee roasting exhaust with higher Pt loadings lowering light‐off temperatures. Scaled up 90 g/ft3 catalyst in a 5 kg roaster achieved 96% CO and around 78% VOC conversion at 350°C, highlighting stable operation requires flue gas temperatures ≥350°C.

Evaluation of Pervaporation and Nanofiltration Membranes for Water Recovery From Thermo‐Responsive Draw Solution

Integrating thermo‐responsive draw solutions with suitable water‐recovery technologies could enable more efficient hybrid desalination. This study compares pervaporation and nanofiltration, revealing key trade‐offs between water productivity and polymer retention and providing guidance for future FO‐based brine treatment systems.
