Equilibration time scales in closed many-body quantum systems
We show that the physical mechanism for the equilibration of closed quantum systems is dephasing, and identify the energy scales that determine the equilibration timescale of a given observable.

Two recent theoretical advances with potential impact on quantum technology
Research aimed at elucidating the foundations of quantum theory can have a direct impact on quantum technology. Two examples illustrate this potential: (1) the coupling of quantum systems to arbitrary classical environments that can be described by ...

The POVM Theorem in Bohmian Mechanics
The POVM theorem is a central result in Bohmian mechanics, grounding the measurement formalism of standard quantum mechanics in a statistical analysis based on the quantum equilibrium hypothesis (the Born rule for Bohmian particle positions).
