Model predictive control of quasi-Z source three-phase four-leg inverter
IECON 2015 - 41st Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2015This paper presents a model predictive control (MPC) scheme for quasi-Z source (qZS) three-phase four-leg inverters. In order to cope with drawbacks of the traditional voltage source inverters (VSI)s, the qZS three-phase four-leg inverter topology is proposed in this study. To improve control capability of the controller, the MPC scheme is used.

Three-Phase Four-Leg Inverter Based on Voltage Hysteresis Control
2010 International Conference on Electrical and Control Engineering, 2010As the output unit of variety distributed generation systems, the final power quality is determined by three-phase four-leg inverter. For the three-phase four-leg inverter, this paper presents a dynamic reference voltage hysteresis control scheme. Firstly, based on the existing hysteresis comparison method, this method improves the systems control ...

Closed loop control of a four leg inverter for unbalanced power networks
2013 International Conference on Control Communication and Computing (ICCC), 2013In this paper, a four leg inverter based compensator is proposed for unbalanced networks. The inverter is controlled in synchronously rotating reference frame consisting an outer voltage control and an inner current control. Zero sequence component of the system is also controlled in order to get a balanced output voltage when the system is distorted ...

A carrier-based discontinuous PWM modulation for four-leg inverters and applications
38th IAS Annual Meeting on Conference Record of the Industry Applications Conference, 2003., 2004We review in this paper a carrier-based discontinuous pulse-width modulation (PWM) method for four-leg DC-AC inverters using an extended definition of the classical space vector methodology in which qd and the zero sequence components of the switching vectors enable the development of the expressions of the discontinuous modulation signals that clamp ...

Design of the Neutral Line Inductor for Three-phase Four-leg Inverters
2019 IEEE Sustainable Power and Energy Conference (iSPEC), 2019The three-phase four-leg inverter is one of the advanced solutions to feed unbalanced loads. However, the design of the neutral line hasn’t been well studied yet. This paper presents a mathematical model of the three-phase four-leg inverter with neutral line inductor, which is decoupled in the αβ0 coordinate and illustrates the effects of the neutral ...

Transient Operation of a Four-Leg Inverter for Autonomous Applications With Unbalanced Load
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2010In this paper, the transient operation of a four-leg inverter equipped with an innovative control strategy under unbalanced load conditions is investigated. The inverter is proposed for transformerless hybrid power system applications, in order to provide simultaneous supply of three-phase and single-phase AC loads with balanced voltage and constant ...
