Erythropoietin modulates hepatic inflammation, glucose homeostasis, and soluble epoxide hydrolase and epoxides in high‐fat diet‐induced obese mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Erythropoietin administration suppresses hepatic soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) expression, leading to increased CYP‐derived epoxides. This is associated with a shift in hepatic macrophage polarization characterized by reduced M1 markers and increased M2 markers, along with reduced hepatic inflammation, suppressed hepatic lipogenesis, and attenuated ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Four-Level Cervical Corpectomy

Spine, 1998
Retrospective analysis of 31 cases of cervical spondylotic myelopathy treated by four-level subaxial cervical corpectomy. To determine whether extremes of anterior decompression and fusion have inordinate or unique levels of morbidity. There is a paucity of data on experience with four-level corpectomy.

Four-Level Rectifier and Four-Level Inverter for Electric Drives

2006 8th International Conference on Actual Problems of Electronic Instrument Engineering, 2006
A four-level three-phase diode clamped inverter fed by a correspondingly adapted untypical three-phase rectifier with two typical transformers is presented. The four-level rectifier is formed by consecutive connection of three rectifiers under the circuit of Scott for the bi-phase orthogonal voltage received from corresponding windings of two three ...

Four level Hadamard transform

[1988] Proceedings. The Twentieth Southeastern Symposium on System Theory, 2003
A four-level Hadamard transform that is more general than the binary Hadamard transform is presented. The transform maintains the same row orthogonality as the binary Hadamard transform but requires the use of complex numbers. A four-level Walsh transform is also obtained from the four-level Hadamard transform.

Four-level refrigerator driven by photons

Physical Review E, 2015
We propose a quantum absorption refrigerator driven by photons. The model uses a four-level system as its working substance and couples simultaneously to hot, cold, and solar heat reservoirs. Explicit expressions for the cooling power Q̇(c) and coefficient of performance (COP) η(COP) are derived, with the purpose of revealing and optimizing the ...

Audience Involvement in Advertising: Four Levels

Journal of Consumer Research, 1984
The effectiveness of advertising messages is widely believed to be moderated by audience involvement. In this paper, psychological theories of attention and levels of processing are used to establish a framework that can accommodate the major consumer behavior theories of audience involvement.

Four levels of pattern recognition

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1978
Abstract Problems of pattern recognition in chemistry and other subjects can be divided conveniently into four different types depending on the level of scope of the problem. (1) Classification into one of a number of defined classes. As an example blood samples taken from persons known to be either controls or welders are considered. The problem is
