Achieving Large and Anisotropic Spin‐Mediated Thermal Transport in Textured Quantum Magnets
An advanced solvent‐cast cold pressing method is developed to synthesize highly textured quantum magnets. By aligning spin chains in Ca2CuO3 perpendicular to the pressing direction, a spin‐mediated thermal conductivity of 10 ± 1 W m⁻¹ K⁻¹ is achieved, the highest reported for polycrystalline quantum materials.

Fourier decay of product measures [PDF]
Can one characterise the Fourier decay of a product measure in terms of the Fourier decay of its marginals? We make inroads on this question by describing the Fourier spectrum of a product measure in terms of the Fourier spectrum of its marginals. The Fourier spectrum is a continuously parametrised family of dimensions living between the Fourier and ...

Nonlinear Fourier Analysis [PDF]
The nonlinear Fourier transform discussed in these notes is the map from the potential of a one dimensional discrete Dirac operator to the transmission and reflection coefficients thereof. Emphasis is on this being a nonlinear variant of the classical Fourier series, and on nonlinear analogues of classical analytic facts about Fourier series.

3D Printed Ultra‐Fast Plastic Scintillators Based on Perovskite‐Photocurable Polymer Composite
The demand for radiation detection is increasing in a number of fields, including high‐energy physics, medical imaging, and homeland security. This study serves to demonstrate the potential for the fabrication of fast perovskite‐based scintillators with complex shapes via stereolithographic additive manufacturing, representing a new path toward the ...

The Fourier dimension is not finitely stable [PDF]
The Fourier dimension is not in general stable under finite unions of sets. Moreover, the stability of the Fourier dimension on particular pairs of sets is independent from the stability of the compact Fourier dimension.

The seed pod valves of Australian Banksia attenuata plants are not simply bi‐layers which bend when dry. These experiments and models reveal complex mechanics, which allow seed release only after several steps of seed pod opening. Stiffness gradients prevent delamination of the valves during loading, and a shape‐memory function protects the seeds ...
