Asymptotic behavior of entire functions of improved regular growth in the metric of $L^p[0, 2\pi]$

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2013
We describe an asymptotic behavior of entire functions of improved regular growth with zeros on a finite system of rays in the metric of $L^p[0, 2\pi]$.

Transformations of Fourier coefficients [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1952
Introduction. In 1923 M. Fekete [2]2 introduced the concept of factor sequences that left invariant the class of a Fourier series. That is, Fekete investigated the conditions to which a sequence of constants (X„) must be subjected in order that (X„a„, X„i„) be Fourier coefficients of a function of the same class, K, as that of the function determined ...

Solutions to Differential-Differential Difference Equations with Variable Coefficients by Using Fourier Transform Method

open access: yesSüleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi Fen Dergisi, 2023
In this paper, differential-differential difference equations with variable coefficients have been solved using the Fourier Transform Method (FTM). In addition, new definitions and theorems are introduced.

Fourier coefficients of Mathieu functions in stable regions

open access: yes, 1969
A method for calculating the Fourier coefficients of Mathieu functions in stable regions based on the method of bisection and Miller's recurrence algorithm is introduced.

Changing Signs of Fourier Coefficients [PDF]

open access: yesPacific Journal of Mathematics, 1965
In this chapter we shall be concerned with some remarkable facts concerning not one Fourier series $$ \sum\limits_{{{\text{n}} \in {\text{Z}}}} {\hat{f}(n){e^{{{\text{inx}}}}}}, $$ but rather “most” series $$ \sum\limits_{{{\text{n}} \in {\text{Z}}}} {\pm \hat{f}(n){e^{{{\text{inx}}}}}} $$ of the family obtained by making random changes ...

Approximation of Functions on a Square by Interpolation Polynomials at Vertices and Few Fourier Coefficients

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2017
For a bivariate function on a square, in general, its Fourier coefficients decay slowly, so one cannot reconstruct it by few Fourier coefficients. In this paper we will develop a new approximation scheme to overcome the weakness of Fourier approximation.

Modified Fourier expansions: theory, construction and applications

open access: yes, 2010
Modified Fourier expansions present an alternative to more standard algorithms for the approximation of nonperiodic functions in bounded domains. This thesis addresses the theory of such expansions, their effective construction and computation, and ...

On the asymptotic behavior of the Fourier coefficients of Mathieu functions

open access: yes, 2008
The asymptotic behavior of the Fourier coefficients A(m)(n)(q) and B-m(n)(q) of the periodic Mathieu functions ce(n)(z, q) and se(n)(z, q) is derived for fixed n and q (not equal 0), as m -> infinity.

A tabular method for performing Fourier analysis of complex biological shape [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
This is the author's PDF version of an book chapter published in Computing and statistics in osteoarchaeology ©1997. The paper was originally delivered at the second meeting of the Osteoarchaeological Research Group at the Institute of Archaeology ...

Decay of Fourier coefficients.

open access: yes, 2013
We plot versus to illustrate the decay of Fourier coefficients for the three methods. The iterative and perturbative curves coincide and are nearly linear with slope ; the exponential decay of these Fourier coefficients is consistent with theory.
