The authors deal with the differential equation \[ x^{(4)}+ \varphi(\ddot x)\dddot x+ f(x,\dot x)\ddot x+ g(\dot x)+ h(x)= P(t, x,\dot x,\ddot x,\dddot x).\tag{\(*\)} \] If \(P= 0\), it is proved that a zero solution to equation \((*)\) is asymptotically stable in the large under certain conditions.
