The Polymers of Life: Exploring Cellular Function Through Polymer Concepts
Biomolecular phase separation reveals that a hidden layer of cellular organization is governed by the principles of polymer science. This review bridges polymer physics and cell biology, offering a primer on fundamental concepts, proposing a framework for interrogating cellular function, and synthesizing biophysical methods for decoding macromolecular ...

Electromagnetic Properties of Fractal Antennas
Finite element method analysis is used to conduct electromagnetic simulations to characterize fractal antennas. This work considers wire (1D) antennas such as the triadic Koch curve, zig zag, and quadratic Koch curve of varying heights, iterations, and ...

Early evolutionary history of the seed
ABSTRACT The seed is an essential stage in the life history of gymnospermous and angiospermous plants, facilitating both their survival and dispersal. We reappraise knowledge of the evolutionary history of the gymnospermous seed, from its origin in the late Devonian through to the well‐known end‐Permian extinctions – an interval encompassing the ...

Robust Control Using a Matrix Converter to Enhance Wind Turbine Systems
This study uses a more efficient and effective solution to improve the operational performance of a wind turbine‐based power system. This system uses a doubly fed induction generator and relies on a matrix converter and fractional‐order proportional–integral controller.

A new coastline formed during the 2021 eruption of La Palma quickly eroded, becoming crenellated and with pocket beaches, then retreated more gradually as resistant interiors of the lava were exposed. In contrast, a second thicker lava delta changed more gradually, highlighting the importance of lithology to coastal erosion.

The Behavior of CPW-Fed Sierpinski Curve Fractal Antenna
In this paper, the behavior of Coplanar Waveguide (CPW) fed SIERPINSKI curve fractal antenna is studied. The results show that there is a relationship between the iteration number and the resonance frequencies.
