GENERALIZED FRACTAL TRANSFORMS AND SELF-SIMILARITY: RECENT RESULTS AND APPLICATIONS
Most practical as well as theoretical works in image processing and mathematical imaging consider images as real-valued functions, u : X → ℝg, where X denotes the base space or pixel space over which the images are defined and ℝg ⊂ ℝ is a suitable ...

フラクタル符号化特徴量を用いた類似画像検索およびオブジェクト検出手法の検討 [PDF]
Fractal image coding is a block-based scheme that exploits the self-similarity hiding with an image. Fractal codes are quantitative measurements of the self-similarity of the image, and collage error distribution of block characterizes the degree of self-

A two‐phase workflow (OFAT screening followed by central composite design) maps how processing variables tune PFCE‐PLGA nanoparticle size, dispersity, surface charge, loading, and 19F‐MRI signal. In situ, time‐resolved synchrotron SAXS tracks albumin‐corona growth on intact dispersions and reveals PFCE‐dependent adsorption pathways.

Multiscale Fractal Descriptors Applied to Nanoscale Images
This work proposes the application of fractal descriptors to the analysis of nanoscale materials under different experimental conditions. We obtain descriptors for images from the sample applying a multiscale transform to the calculation of fractal ...

The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.

Target Detection Using Fractal Geometry [PDF]
The concepts and theory of fractal geometry were applied to the problem of segmenting a 256 x 256 pixel image so that manmade objects could be extracted from natural backgrounds.

The Fractal Dimension of Projected Clouds
The interstellar medium seems to have an underlying fractal structure which can be characterized through its fractal dimension. However, interstellar clouds are observed as projected two-dimensional images, and the projection of a tri-dimensional fractal

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

After notes on self-similarity exponent for fractal structures
Previous works have highlighted the suitability of the concept of fractal structure, which derives from asymmetric topology, to propound generalized definitions of fractal dimension.

Ductility Tuning via Cluster Network Characteristics of Porous Components
Network optimization via cluster characteristics induced by interaction of stress concentration is proposed, demonstrating increased cluster size and dispersion in non‐uniform porous components. The optimized structures exhibit, for the first time, that enhanced ductility and damage progression is controllable through zigzag cluster network designed by
