Functionalizing Micro‐to‐Mesoscopic Electrode Architectures for Regulating Electron Transfer Behaviors in Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A systematic review is conducted to assess the influence of electrode architecture across micro‐ to mesoscopic length scales on electron‐transfer pathways in electrocatalysis. We discuss the structure‐activity relationships in electrocatalytic applications, including resource recovery and environmental remediation, and provide cost‐effective, efficient

Fractal Frames of Functions on the Rectangle

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2021
In this paper, we define fractal bases and fractal frames of L2(I×J), where I and J are real compact intervals, in order to approximate two-dimensional square-integrable maps whose domain is a rectangle, using the identification of L2(I×J) with the ...

A NEW NONLINEAR BIVARIATE FRACTAL INTERPOLATION FUNCTION

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper, we present a new nonlinear bivariate fractal interpolation function (FIF) by using the Matkowski’s fixed point theorem and the Rakotch contraction.

On bivariate fractal interpolation for countable data and associated nonlinear fractal operator

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
Fractal interpolation has been conventionally treated as a method to construct a univariate continuous function interpolating a given finite data set with the distinguishing property that the graph of the interpolating function is the attractor of a ...

Wearable Morphology‐Adaptive in‐Ear Device With Active Cleansing Capability for Multimodal Health Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We present SCIENCE, an in‐ear multimodal physiological monitor featuring two key innovations. Water‐triggered morphological expansion (a 2‐mm cylinder to a 9‐mm spindle) achieves conformal adaptation across complex canal geometries. Simultaneously, active biofouling mitigation disrupts cerumen barriers, reducing sensor‐skin impedance by 20%.

Strategic Design of Soft Actuators in Translational Medical Robotics for Human‐Centered Healthcare

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Soft robotics enables biocompatible, compliant medical devices, but clinical translation requires design‐driven engineering beyond materials. This perspective reviews implantable, surgical, and wearable systems by actuation mechanism, highlighting how optimized architectures and integration improve mechanical interfacing, adaptability, and durability ...
