Ground-state solutions for fractional Kirchhoff-Choquard equations with critical growth

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis
We study the following fractional Kirchhoff-Choquard equation: a+b∫RN(−Δ)s2u2dx(−Δ)su+V(x)u=(Iμ*F(u))f(u),x∈RN,u∈Hs(RN),\left\{\begin{array}{l}\left(a+b\mathop{\displaystyle \int }\limits_{{{\mathbb{R}}}^{N}}{\left|{\left(-\Delta )}^{\frac{s}{2}}u\right|}

Antanas Matulevičius and his Petersburgs “Textbook of Arithmetic”

open access: yesLietuvos Matematikos Rinkinys, 2011
A. Matulevičius is one of the graduates of Veiveriai Teachers’ Seminary who became known for writing textbooks of mathematics in Lithuanian. His two-part “Textbook of Arithmetic” (Petersburg, 1916) was designed for teaching operations with numbers from ...

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Zeroing of state variables in fractional descriptor electrical circuits by state-feedbacks

open access: yesArchives of Electrical Engineering, 2014
The problem of zeroing of the state variables in fractional descriptor electrical circuits by state-feedbacks is formulated and solved. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of gain matrices such that the state variables of closed-loop ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Fractional Long-Range Dependence Model for Remaining Useful Life Estimation of Roller Bearings

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
Estimation of remaining useful life (RUL) of roller bearings is a prevalent problem for predictive maintenance in manufacturing. However, roller bearings are subject to a variety of factors during their operation.

IMPROVING THE CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF ACIDIC SOIL WITH AFFORDABLE LIME APPLICATION FOR INCREASING POTATO GROWTH AND YIELDS IN SEDIE DISTRICT, NORTHWESTERN ETHIOPIA [PDF]

open access: yesمجلة الأنبار للعلوم الزراعية
Soil acidity remains a critical issue in Ethiopia, particularly in the highland regions, where over 43% of arable lands has low pH levels. Enhancing the chemical properties of the soil and subsequent potato growth and yield through affordable lime ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
