Exploring Oxidation in the Remote Free Troposphere: Insights from Atmospheric Tomography (ATom) [PDF]
Earth's atmosphere oxidizes the greenhouse gas methane and other gases, thus determining their lifetimes and oxidation products. Much of this oxidation occurs in the remote, relatively clean free troposphere above the planetary boundary layer, where the ...

Periocular syringomas – Successful treatment with fractional CO2 laser
<p>Syringoma is a benign tumor of eccrine origin which arises from eccrine ducts. Syringomas are most commonly found on the eyelids in middle-aged women. Traditional treatments include surgical excision, curettage, peelings, dermabrasion and laser. We report on the successful use of fractional laser on periocular syringomas.

Field-free two-direction alignment alternation of linear molecules by elliptic laser pulses
We show that a linear molecule subjected to a short specific elliptically polarized laser field yields postpulse revivals exhibiting alignment alternatively located along the orthogonal axis and the major axis of the ellipse. The effect is experimentally

Fractional CO2 Laser Treatment Outcomes for Pediatric Hypertrophic Burn Scars
Abstract Carbon dioxide ablative fractional laser (CO2-AFL) therapy has not been widely adopted in pediatric burn care given limited outcomes literature and no established guidelines on laser treatment protocols. We present our experience to further elucidate the clinical role of CO2-AFL therapy for pediatric hypertrophic burn scars.
