On a New Class of Fractional Difference-Sum Operators with Discrete Mittag-Leffler Kernels

open access: yes, 2019
We formulate a new class of fractional difference and sum operators, study their fundamental properties, and find their discrete Laplace transforms. The method depends on iterating the fractional sum operators corresponding to fractional differences with

Finite difference approximations for the fractional Fokker-Planck equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The fractional Fokker-Planck equation has been used in many physical transport problems which take place under the influence or an external force field. In this paper we examine some practical numerical methods to solve a class of initial-boundary value ...

Binomial difference sequence spaces of fractional order

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2018
In this paper, we introduce the sequence spaces b0r,s(∇(α)) $b^{r,s}_{0}( \nabla^{(\alpha)})$, bcr,s(∇(α)) $b^{r,s}_{c}(\nabla^{(\alpha)})$, and b∞r,s(∇(α)) $b^{r,s}_{\infty }(\nabla^{(\alpha)})$.

Commensurate and Non-Commensurate Fractional-Order Discrete Models of an Electric Individual-Wheel Drive on an Autonomous Platform

open access: yesEntropy, 2020
This paper presents integer and linear time-invariant fractional order (FO) models of a closed-loop electric individual-wheel drive implemented on an autonomous platform. Two discrete-time FO models are tested: non-commensurate and commensurate.

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Some stability properties related to initial time difference for caputo fractional differential equations

open access: yes, 2018
Lipschitz stability and Mittag-Leffler stability with initial time difference for nonlinear nonautonomous Caputo fractional differential equation are defined and studied using Lyapunov like functions. Some sufficient conditions are obtained.

Existence Results for Nonlinear Fractional Difference Equation

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2011
This paper is concerned with the initial value problem to a nonlinear fractional difference equation with the Caputo like difference operator. By means of some fixed point theorems, global and local existence results of solutions are obtained.

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

A new approach for the fractional integral operator in time scales with variable exponent lebesgue spaces

open access: yes, 2021
Integral equations and inequalities have an important place in time scales and harmonic analysis. The norm of integral operators is one of the important study topics in harmonic analysis.

NUMERATORS OF DIFFERENCES OF NONCONSECUTIVE FAREY FRACTIONS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Number Theory, 2010
An elementary but useful fact is that the numerator of the difference of two consecutive Farey fractions is equal to one. For triples of consecutive fractions, the numerators of the differences are well understood and have applications to several interesting problems.
