Consumption and fractional differencing: old and new anomalies [PDF]
A calculation of the stochastic properties of consumption when income follows a fractional stochastic process, showing how this may explain excess-smoothness results noted in previous studies.Consumption (Economics) ; Income ; Time-series ...

Testing the Marshall-Lerner condition in Kenya [PDF]
In this paper we examine the Marshall-Lerner (ML) condition for the Kenyan economy. In particular, we use quarterly data on the log of real exchange rates, export-import ratio and relative (US) income for the time period 1996q1 – 2011q4, and employ ...

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

A Recursive Algorithm For Fractionally Differencing Long Data Series
We propose a recursive algorithm to fractionally difference time series data. The algorithm eliminates the need to evaluate the gamma function directly, and hence avoids the overflow problem that arises when fractionally differencing a long data series. The proposed algorithm can be implemented using any general matrix programming language.

The Stochastic Unit Root Model And Fractional Integration: An Extension To The Seasonal Case [PDF]
In a recent paper, Yoon (2003) shows that the Stochastic Unit Root (STUR) model is closely related to long memory processes, and, in particular, that it is a special case of an I(d) process, with d = 1.5.

Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Compton Scattering in Static and Moving Media. II. System-Frame Solutions for Spherically Symmetric Flows [PDF]
I study the formation of Comptonization spectra in spherically symmetric, fast moving media in a flat spacetime. I analyze the mathematical character of the moments of the transfer equation in the system-frame and describe a numerical method that ...

Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...
