A new polymeric nanoparticle formulation containing aminophenoxazinone DiS‐NH2 (2,2′‐disulfanediyldianiline) is proposed as a post‐emergence and contact bioherbicide for weed management in durum wheat. Abstract BACKGROUND Weed‐resistance phenomena have increased dramatically in recent years. Bioherbicides can offer a sustainable alternative to chemical

We isolated three insect‐killing nematodes from Maladera formosae infested corn–soybean rotated fields, Heterorhabditis bacteriophora, Pristionchus sp., and Steinernema carpocapsae. Results from greenhouse and field microcosm studies indicate all three nematodes can infect and kill M. formosae grubs and persist through winter.

Structural and Functional Properties of Starch From Popped Seeds of Makhana (Euryale ferox)
This study aimed to investigate the starch properties of raw and popped makhana (PM) seeds (Euryale ferox), focusing on changes in physicochemical, structural, and functional properties. The finding revealed that popped makhana starch (PMS) exhibited enhanced physicochemical characteristics compared to raw starch and versatile ingredient for starch ...

Fractional factorial designs of two and three levels
AbstractThis paper consists of a survey of the results on balanced fractional designs of the 2m and 3m types established by Chopra, Kuwada, Shirakura, Srivastava and Yamamoto, new results on search designs of 2m type, and open problems on the construction of fractional designs.

Tensile performance of inclined adhesive anchors in steel fiber‐reinforced concrete
Abstract In almost all studies on post‐installed anchors in concrete, the anchor direction is perpendicular to the concrete surface. However, the anchor direction may not be perpendicular to the concrete surface due to application errors or requirements.

Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Ectothermic responses to permissive temperatures that support growth, maintenance and repair are typically modelled by thermal performance curves (TPC). In contrast, thermal death time (TDT) models are well suited to describe the potent, exponential accumulation of ...

Our study shows that exposure to low stress makes zooplankton populations more tolerant to extreme stress. This phenomenon, here called micro‐evolutionary priming, is rarely studied in animals. We provide strong evidence for its existence and explore its implications for the fate of populations in an increasingly stressful world.

Observation Bias in Metabarcoding
ABSTRACT DNA metabarcoding is subject to observation bias associated with PCR and sequencing, which can result in observed read proportions differing from actual species proportions in the DNA extract. Here, we amplify and sequence a mock community of known composition containing marine fishes and cetaceans using four different primer sets and a ...
