Partially Duplicated Fractional Factorial Designs
Technometrics, 1963This paper describes two level fractional factorial designs in which some of the treatment combinations are duplicated. As is well known, the duplicated runs provide an unbiased estimate of error variance and more precise estimates of the effects. An example is given with the analysis procedure.

AN APPLICATION OF FRACTIONAL FACTORIAL EXPERIMENTAL DESIGNS
Quality Engineering, 1988[This abstract is based on the author's abstract.] Fractional factorial experimental design can reduce the number of experiments necessary for determining vital conditions that contribute to most process variability. A new process for extracting oil f..

This work concerns the optimization of the neutralization dialysis process applied to water desalination. This process is used for salt removal from a NaCl model solution (initially 0.08 M) in a three-compartment membrane stack (acid, salt, and alkali ...

On Yates' Order in Fractional Factorial Designs [PDF]
Consider a 2k-, k > p > 0 fractional factorial design. A workable Yates' order for the 2k-~ treatment combinations is an order such that Yates' forward algorithm will estimate the effects of the aliased subsets. It is suggested in the literature on this subject that a way to determine a workable Yates' order in a 2k-~ is to choose p letters of the k ...

Augmenting Fractional Factorial Designs
2009Fractional factorial designs should often be followed by additional experimentation, either with another designed experiment or with confirmation runs. This chapter surveys the options and then discusses several particularly common situations.

Two-Level Factorial and Fractional Factorial Designs
2002The design of two-level blocked and split-plot experiments has recently received a considerable amount of attention in the literature. In this chapter, we will give a brief overview of the recent developments. First, we introduce the 2 m and 2 m−f factorial designs and the concepts of resolution and aberration.
