Polypropylene and silica short fibers composites

open access: yesSemina: Ciências Exatas e Tecnológicas, 2012
The mechanical properties of composites strongly depend on the type of filler-polymeric matrix interface. An interface characterized by a strong bond between the filler and the matrix generally results in better mechanical properties.

A Two-Stage Optimisation of Ship Hull Structure Combining Fractional Factorial Design Technique and NSGA-II Algorithm

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
The intricate nature of ships and floating structures presents a significant challenge for ship designers when determining suitable structural dimensions for maritime applications. This study addresses a critical research gap by focusing on a three-cargo

LA PROGRAMMAZIONE DELLA SPERIMENTAZIONE NELLO SVILUPPO DEI PROCESSI CHIMICI

open access: yesRatio Mathematica, 1995
In the present paper the main advantages obtained in the planning of experimental tests by using factorial design are shown. In particular the general criteria to perform a full and fractional factorial experiments are highlighted.

Fractional factorial designs of two and three levels

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 1993
This paper presents a survey of results on balanced fractional factorial designs (BFFD) for \(2^ m\) and \(3^ m\) series. It includes new results on search designs of \(2^ m\) type, and the survey includes the main results obtained by the reviewer, Kuwada, Shirakura, Srivastava and Yamamoto in their papers on BFFD for \(2^ m\) and \(3^ m\) series. Some

Block Designs for Fractional Factorial Experiments with Replication

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Statistical Society Series B: Statistical Methodology, 1978
Summary This paper describes how incomplete block designs may be used to provide blocking plans for fractions of symmetrical factorial experiments. These designs introduce some replication, but provide a wide range of block sizes, from two units per block upwards.
