We describe the fractal solid by a special continuous medium model. We propose to describe the fractal solid by a fractional continuous model, where all characteristics and fields are defined everywhere in the volume but they follow some generalized ...

Fractional Moment Estimates for Random Unitary Operators [PDF]
We consider unitary analogs of $d-$dimensional Anderson models on $l^2(\Z^d)$ defined by the product $U_ =D_ S$ where $S$ is a deterministic unitary and $D_ $ is a diagonal matrix of i.i.d. random phases. The operator $S$ is an absolutely continuous band matrix which depends on parameters controlling the size of its off-diagonal elements.

Fractional‐order complex correntropy algorithm for adaptive filtering in α‐stable environment
In adaptive filtering applications, the Gaussian distribution cannot be used to model the signal/noise with frequent spikes accurately. In fact, the rational model to simulate the behaviour of such signal/noise is the α‐stable distribution process.

Fractional revivals of superposed coherent states
We study the dynamics of superposed wave packets in a specific nonlinear Hamiltonian which models the wave packet propagation in Kerr-like media and the dynamics of Bose-Einstein condensates. We show the dependence of initial wave packet superposition on

ABSTRACT Background Families of children with cancer experience significant financial strain, even with universal healthcare. Indirect costs, such as productivity losses and non‐medical expenses, are rarely included in economic evaluations, and little is known about how effectively financial aid programmes alleviate this burden. Childhood brain tumours

Lévy Processes Linked to the Lower-Incomplete Gamma Function
We start by defining a subordinator by means of the lower-incomplete gamma function. This can be considered as an approximation of the stable subordinator, easier to be handled in view of its finite activity.

Malliavin regularity of solutions to mixed stochastic differential equations
For a mixed stochastic differential driven by independent fractional Brownian motions and Wiener processes, the existence and integrability of the Malliavin derivative of its solution are established.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Application of the Complex Moments for Selection of an Optimal Sensor
In the first time we apply the statistics of the complex moments for selection of an optimal pressure sensor (from the available set of sensors) based on their statistical/correlation characteristics.
