Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

A General Method for Designing Fractional Order PID Controller [PDF]
The idea of using fractional order calculus in control became apparent when this kind of calculus was accepted as a powerful tool in many applications. This resulted in a new generation of PID controller called fractional order PID Controller, named as ...

FRACTIONAL-ORDER VARIATIONAL DERIVATIVE
We consider some possible approaches to the fractional-order generalization of definition of variation (functional) derivative. Some problems of formulation of a fractional-order variational derivative are discussed. To give a consistent definition of the fractional-order variations, we use a fractional generalization of Gateaux differential.

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Hybrid Systems and Control With Fractional Dynamics (II): Control
No mixed research of hybrid and fractional-order systems into a cohesive and multifaceted whole can be found in the literature. This paper focuses on such a synergistic approach of the theories of both branches, which is believed to give additional ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Fractional Derivative Regularization in QFT
In this paper, we propose new regularization, where integer-order differential operators are replaced by fractional-order operators. Regularization for quantum field theories based on application of the Riesz fractional derivatives of non-integer orders ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Image Reconstruction Based on Novel Sets of Generalized Orthogonal Moments
In this work, we have presented a general framework for reconstruction of intensity images based on new sets of Generalized Fractional order of Chebyshev orthogonal Moments (GFCMs), a novel set of Fractional order orthogonal Laguerre Moments (FLMs) and ...
