Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Fractional Derivative Regularization in QFT

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper, we propose new regularization, where integer-order differential operators are replaced by fractional-order operators. Regularization for quantum field theories based on application of the Riesz fractional derivatives of non-integer orders ...

Fractional-Order Hartley Oscillator [PDF]

open access: yes2018 14th Conference on Ph.D. Research in Microelectronics and Electronics (PRIME), 2018
A fractional-order capacitor (FOC) is developed using a Molybdenum disulfide ferroelectric polymer composite. The fabricated FOC exhibits constant phase over five decades between 100 Hz-10 MHz, which is the broadest operating frequency bandwidth reported so far for an FOC.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Image Reconstruction Based on Novel Sets of Generalized Orthogonal Moments

open access: yesJournal of Imaging, 2020
In this work, we have presented a general framework for reconstruction of intensity images based on new sets of Generalized Fractional order of Chebyshev orthogonal Moments (GFCMs), a novel set of Fractional order orthogonal Laguerre Moments (FLMs) and ...

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Analysis of Caputo fractional-order model for COVID-19 with lockdown

open access: yesAdvances in Differential Equations, 2020
One of the control measures available that are believed to be the most reliable methods of curbing the spread of coronavirus at the moment if they were to be successfully applied is lockdown.

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.
