In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

A General Method for Designing Fractional Order PID Controller [PDF]
The idea of using fractional order calculus in control became apparent when this kind of calculus was accepted as a powerful tool in many applications. This resulted in a new generation of PID controller called fractional order PID Controller, named as ...

Robust fractional order PI control for cardiac output stabilisation [PDF]
Drug regulatory paradigms are dependent on the hemodynamic system as it serves to distribute and clear the drug in/from the body. While focusing on the objective of the drug paradigm at hand, it is important to maintain stable hemodynamic variables.

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Fractional-Order PID Controller Based on Immune Feedback Mechanism for Time-Delay Systems
The control of processes with time delays is crucial in process industries such as petrochemical, hydraulic, and manufacturing. It is a challenging task for automation engineers, as it may affect both phase and gain margins.

Application of a Fractional Order Integral Resonant Control to increase the achievable bandwidth of a nanopositioner [PDF]
The congress program will essentially include papers selected on the highest standard by the IPC, according to the IFAC guidelines www.ifac-control.org/publications/Publications-requirements-1.4.pdf, and published in open access in partnership with ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Adaptive Synchronization for a Class of Uncertain Fractional-Order Neural Networks
In this paper, synchronization for a class of uncertain fractional-order neural networks subject to external disturbances and disturbed system parameters is studied. Based on the fractional-order extension of the Lyapunov stability criterion, an adaptive
