Controlling Dynamical Systems Into Unseen Target States Using Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Parameter‐aware next‐generation reservoir computing enables efficient, data‐driven control of dynamical systems across unseen target states and nonstationary transitions. The approach suppresses transient behavior while navigating system collapse scenarios with minimal training data—over an order of magnitude less than traditional methods.

Pharmacokinetic modelling of intravenous immunoglobulin in children with primary immunodeficiencies and secondary antibody deficiencies

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Aims Children with primary immunodeficiency (PID) and secondary antibody deficiency (SAD) often require immunoglobulin replacement therapy due to low plasma immunoglobulin G (IgG) levels and recurrent infections. Existing pharmacokinetic models for immunoglobulin in PID patients predominantly focus on adults, with limited attention to ...

Fractional order control for a bidirectional converter operating in a DC

open access: yesInformador Técnico, 2020
This paper presents the control design of a bidirectional converter used to support a DC microgrid. The chosen topology for this purpose is the bidirectional buck-boost converter, for which its mathematical model is obtained.

Optimization of a reactor for biostimulant production with emphasis on the economic aspects of hydrolysis

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Abstract Biostimulants are increasingly used in agriculture to promote plant growth, improve stress tolerance, and support sustainable farming practices. One common method of production is chemical hydrolysis of protein‐rich waste, such as tannery by‐products, offering an economical and eco‐friendly alternative to conventional raw materials.

A Comparative performance evaluation of a complex-order PI controller for DC–DC converters

open access: yesResults in Control and Optimization
Switched-mode DC–DC converters are required to maintain constant output under uncertainties and variations in input voltage and load. The controller’s robustness is crucial in such systems, and hence various controllers have been proposed in the past few

Fractional Order PID Controller Design for Level Control of Three Tank System Based on Improved Cuckoo Optimization Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent Procedures in Electrical Technology, 2015
Fractional-order PID (FOPID) controller is a generalization of standard PID controller using fractional calculus. Compared with the Standard PID controller, two adjustable variables “differential order” and “integral order” are added to the PID ...
