On Sparsity Conditions Guaranteeing a Fractional Coloring

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A graph has an ( a : b ) $(a:b)$ ‐coloring if there exists an assignment from the vertices to subsets of { 1 , … , a } $\{1,\ldots ,a\}$ with size b $b$ such that adjacent vertices are assigned disjoint subsets. Odd girth at least 2 k + 1 $2k+1$ is a necessary condition for a graph to have a ( 2 k + 1 : k ) $(2k+1:k)$‐coloring.

Leveraging Isomerization of Azo Dyes and Imines for the Facile Synthesis of Oxadiazepines and Related Heterocycles

open access: yesJournal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A robust method for synthesizing substituted oxadiazepines and related heterocycles via intramolecular SNAr is detailed. Under mild conditions, this methodology has been leveraged to afford products of varying electronic and aryl nature in up to 99% yields.

Acute Effects of Smoking and Vaping on Markers of Vascular Function via Quantitative MRI

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background E‐cigarettes contribute to endothelial dysfunction, a known cause of systemic atherosclerotic disease that cannot be adequately characterized by a single physiological parameter measured at a single vascular bed. Purpose/Hypothesis Quantify and compare acute effects of smoking or vaping with tobacco cigarettes (t‐cigs), nicotinized ...

Association Between MRI‐Derived Right‐to‐Left Ventricular Volume Ratio and Regional Left Ventricular Myocardial Dysfunction in Patients With Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Right ventricular (RV) to left ventricular (LV) end‐diastolic volume ratio (RV/LV) is a validated marker of RV dilation in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), yet its impact on LV myocardial function and the underlying mediating pathway is incompletely characterized.
