Effective Method for Solving Different Types of Nonlinear Fractional Burgers’ Equations

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
In this study, a relatively new method to solve partial differential equations (PDEs) called the fractional reduced differential transform method (FRDTM) is used. The implementation of the method is based on an iterative scheme in series form.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Homotopy Perturbation Method Combined with ZZ Transform to Solve Some Nonlinear Fractional Differential Equations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analysis and Applications, 2019
The idea proposed in this work is to extend the ZZ transform method to resolve the nonlinear fractional partial differential equations by combining them with the so-called homotopy perturbation method (HPM).

Towards a combined fractional mechanics and quantization

open access: yes, 2012
A fractional Hamiltonian formalism is introduced for the recent combined fractional calculus of variations. The Hamilton-Jacobi partial differential equation is generalized to be applicable for systems containing combined Caputo fractional derivatives ...

YlmG1 is localized exclusively to the chloroplast envelope membrane and is involved in preprotein translocation in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

Vector Additive Decomposition for 2D Fractional Diffusion Equation

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2008
Such physical processes as the diffusion in the environments with fractal geometry and the particles’ subdiffusion lead to the initial value problems for the nonlocal fractional order partial differential equations. These equations are the generalization

Domain decomposition methods for space fractional partial differential equations [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Computational Physics, 2017
In this paper, a two-level additive Schwarz preconditioner is proposed for solving the algebraic systems resulting from the finite element approximations of space fractional partial differential equations (SFPDEs). It is shown that the condition number of the preconditioned system is bounded by C(1+H/δ), where H is the maximum diameter of subdomains ...

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
