Reaction-diffusion systems and nonlinear waves

open access: yes, 2007
The authors investigate the solution of a nonlinear reaction-diffusion equation connected with nonlinear waves. The equation discussed is more general than the one discussed recently by Manne, Hurd, and Kenkre (2000).

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Analysis of differential equations involving Caputo–Fabrizio fractional operator and its applications to reaction–diffusion equations

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2019
This manuscript deals with fractional differential equations including Caputo–Fabrizio differential operator. The conditions for existence and uniqueness of solutions of fractional initial value problems is established using fixed point theorem and ...

Traveling waves for a bistable equation with nonlocal-diffusion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We consider a single component reaction-diffusion equation in one dimension with bistable nonlinearity and a nonlocal space-fractional diffusion operator of Riesz-Feller type.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

On the Stability of Incommensurate Fractional-Order Reaction–Diffusion Systems: The Glycolyse Model

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In this paper, we study the local stability of an incommensurate fractional reaction–diffusion glycolysis model. The glycolysis process, fundamental to cellular metabolism, exhibits complex dynamical behaviors when formulated as a nonlinear reaction ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

A hybrid approach for piecewise fractional reaction–diffusion equations

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2023
In this paper, the Caputo and Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivatives are handled to introduce a type of piecewise fractional derivative. More precisely, a linear combination of the Caputo and Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivatives are considered in ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Fractional reaction-diffusion problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Cette thèse porte sur deux problèmes différents : dans le premier, nous étudions le comportement en temps long des solutions des équations de réaction diffusion 1d-fractionnaire de type Fisher-KPP lorsque la condition initiale est asymptotiquement de ...
